Manhattan Toy’s ‘The Whoozit’ collection has been a favorite pick of parents for over 15 years—offering more than 30 toys to engage little ones. We put The Manhattan Toy Baby Whoozit Stroller and Travel Activity Toy into the hands of our 11-month-old during plenty of stroller walks to see how well it provided on-the-go entertainment. Learn more about the design, age range, and washability of this soft, easy-to-enjoy travel toy.
Design: Small on size but big on fun
We love the compact size of this toy. With a 6-inch body and 7 10-inch arms, we were easily able to tuck it into our diaper bag when we wanted to put it away. And its small size doesn’t reveal just how much entertainment it provides. There is a ton of fun loaded into the travel-friendly Whoozit, such as bright colors, high-contrast patterns, rattles, squeakers, crinkle paper, and more. It’s a great option for both visual stimulation and keeping your little one occupied. The design’s only downfall is the Velcro closure; it needs to be stronger. Our son was constantly pulling and grabbing the toy, which ended with it falling off the stroller multiple times.
Entertainment Value: A fast favorite
After a few weeks of testing, this became our son’s favorite stroller toy. There are plenty of little surprises to keep your child occupied, including a mirror that is under the hidden squeaker in the red nose of the Whoozit. What baby doesn’t love a mirror? Like a familiar friend, your child will recognize the Whoozit right away when it’s strapped onto the stroller or car seat—but that won’t lessen their enthusiasm to squeeze, pull, and push on the toy.
Age Range: Safe for babies
The brand recommends this toy for ages 0+ and we would say it’s a great option until the toddler years. For younger babies, it provides great visual stimulation without you having to worry about choking hazards or rigid pieces that might bump your baby’s head. And, as your child grows, this toy continues to keep walks fun.
Ease of Cleaning: Spot clean only
Since this toy is almost completely made of fabric, the brand recommends only surface-washing it. Once our son covered ours in drool and spit-up, we were quickly wishing that we could run it through a washing machine for a more thorough cleaning. We’ve read that some people have successfully machine washed their Whoozit by placing it in a pillowcase and washing it on cold, but we didn’t want to risk it by defying the manufacturer’s care instructions during our testing period.
Price: Affordable entertainment
The MSRP is $15—a little pricey for a small soft toy—but you can typically purchase it for less elsewhere online. Nonetheless, we can’t argue with the price too much because our son got so much entertainment out of this toy.
Competition: The Whoozit is a popular pick
There are plenty of stroller toys on the market. Some are simple with just one rattle or a few rings and others, like the Whoozit, provide multiple activities for a baby. Having the Whoozit (or a style like it) on your stroller definitely helps when your baby grows more curious and likes to stay busy as you run errands or take a stroll. While the Manhattan Toy Baby Whoozit Stroller and Travel Activity Toy may be a few dollars more than similar soft stroller toys, we think it’s worth it to pay a little extra for the quality and reputation that stand behind Manhattan Toy’s products. For less than $20, this little toy provides plenty of entertainment for your baby while you’re out and about.
