Effort: Quick and easy no sewing required Materials:
Sleeper Green felt Gold glitter glue Small, colored silk flowers Small, round straw hat One-inch wide ribbon (green) Large flower pot
Instructions: Cut a thin, long, and slightly wavy strip of green felt. Glue it to the front of the sleeper, from right toe up to left shoulder. Cut the felt where it crosses over the zipper. This strip (which represents the stem) should go all the way to the neck. Cut out small leaves from the felt, and randomly glue them up the “stem.” Glue a double layer of leaves around the neck of the sleeper. Using gold glue, draw veins onto the leaves. Take the small hat and glue green leaves and silk flowers all around the hat. Cut a small hole in the brim of the hat near the ears, on both sides. Put the ribbon through, and tie a knot so the ribbon will stay in place. Dress your child in the sleeper and the hat. Tie the hat under her chin, and set the child in the large flower pot. Other details: This costume works well for little ones who can sit up, but aren’t yet walking. Put your child in a wagon and go trick-or-treating! Make sure the flower pot is well anchored in the wagon. More Costume Ideas
